Me.jpg

I began playing the violin at the age of three, a third generation violinist in my family.  I was taught through the Suzuki method and in addition to private lessons my musical education as a child included Suzuki institutes, competitions, master classes, summer camps, orchestral festivals, and youth orchestra. After high school I earned my Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana University where I studied with Yuval Yaron and Franco Gulli.  I continued my studies in Violin Performance at The Longy School of Music in Boston, MA as a student of Joseph Silverstein.

While in college I started teaching private violin lessons and chamber music at Interlochen Summer Camp and have continued to actively teach students since then.  I've had the privilege of participating in summer music festivals including the Aspen Music Festival, Encore School for Strings, Spoleto USA Festival, and Tanglewood Music Center where I held the position of concertmaster under renowned conductor Seiji Ozawa.

Upon graduation from college I freelanced in Utah with the Utah Symphony and Ballet West Orchestra. I joined The Phoenix Symphony for a year and then moved to Florida to join The Florida Orchestra. I've also had the opportunity to perform with the Colorado Symphony and Santa Fe Opera Orchestra.  In 2009 I moved to CA where I have maintained a private teaching studio and freelanced throughout the Bay Area.
